Foundations
A True Community Church

On any given Sunday at Pinedale Community Church, people come from a variety of backgrounds. As such, they bring with them a range of theologies, traditions, and expectations.  And, true to its foundations, the Church aims to welcome them.

Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Romans 15:7

Originally a congregational church, Pinedale Community Church has retained much of that identity, especially in its recognition of:

1) the autonomy of the local church body, and

2) the unique relationship each individual has with their creator.

And both of these remain at the heart of the church.

In many ways, this church did this out of necessity; ranches were spread far and wide, and visitors less than regular. Plus, for more than three decades, it was the only place of worship in town (and for many a country mile!).  And, so, it had to keep these principles close to heart.

Because not everyone who walked through its doors necessarily agreed on matters of belief and practice. But they sat together anyways.  Encouraged one another anyways. And worshipped together anyways.

And these values remain at the core of Pinedale Community's mission.
